An intense but lively purple red with a fine garnet reflection, it strikes for its impenetrability, transmitting the expected verticality on the palate thanks to its great brilliance. The expectation on the palate is preceded by an olfactory complexity that refers to intense, deep and immersive scents, such as black cherry in alcohol, amaretto and a nuance of caramelized orange peel, wrapped in a hint of chocolate. We imagine a long maturation and a great evolution for a grandiose and fabulously managed cabernet.
At the entrance to the palate it is clean and fine, the great smoothness strikes for the marked verticality well accompanied in the great elegance by an excellent tannin, where the contribution of merlot, albeit at 15%, guarantees great body structure, with an excellent tasting balance. The vertical and savory closure of the mouth is impressive, which thanks to the great persistence brings back all the pleasantness found on the nose, such as balsamic hints and spicy notes. A wine of great depth that calls the second glass.
Excellent for pairing with second courses of meat and baked game, and excellent as an accompaniment to some long-aged hard cheeses. It also lends itself to meditative tasting. Also in Nephrops, the Tenuta del Paguro trademark confirms the evolutionary thrust of the product with a great verticality to support conservation over time.
